BIRDS – Feathers of inheritance
Wings to dream of flying
to rise above the weight of being.
to risk of falling.
Each feather, a memory,
a whisper of freedom etched into the air.
Deep human longing, to soar toward unknown skies,
to escape, if only for a moment,
into a world made of wind and lightness
Portals linking the earthly to the spiritual, the present to ancient. Each curve means purification, protection, joy, mourn, renewal, peace…
Rituals, suspended in air.
I draw on my cultural heritage, where feathers are sacred rather than consumed.
Recalling ceremonial headdress worn by chiefs and initiates, embodying memory, and ancestral law. Dancing with dignity in the sacred rhythm.
This series also questions the violence behind the beauty
born of the silent deaths of countless birds.
